Gifts

After my last post, the CBT got to work and I decided to do two short tasks to make me feel better.

I sulkily washed the dishes by hand then tidied the garden. My treat was to sit in the garden with my well-thumbed copy of the best novel in the world, Pride and Prejudice whilst my son played with his cars in the sunshine.

A beautiful peacock butterfly came to give me company and I felt at peace as it sunbathed.

I was then surprised by my daughter bringing me an ice cold drink saying “you can’t read in the sun, mum, without a cold drink”.

Moments later, my three year old brought me a pretty pink flower from the garden.

Little gifts from heaven. ☺
